Employment Relations
Our aim is employment law that reduces compliance costs for businesses, and incentivises growth and productivity.
Our work in this area sees us engaging with government on all areas of employment relations policy, including participation in major government reviews of legislation such as the Employment Relations Act, the Holidays Act and the Health and Safety in Employment Act and Pay Equity.
We are also very active in the international employment relations arena. Our CEO Katherine Rich is New Zealand’s Employer Delegate to the International Labour Organisation (ILO).
Our Employment Relations Policy Manager, Paul Mackay, regularly lead ILO workshops around the world. Paul has also led the international employers group in negotiating international labour standards such as ILO Conventions.
